This multifunction device is a decent and reliable device for a home office that needs a fax machine in addition to the standard copy, print, and scan functions. The Dell 1135n multifunction network laser printer offers good value for the money with speedy printouts, good-looking text output, and a network-ready feature, but installation can be tricky.

Design

The Dell 1135n is distinctively compact with a significantly smaller footprint than its predecessors, measuring only 26.4 inches wide, 12.6 inches tall, and 16.3 inches deep, but the top part juts out to highlight the ADF and the flatbed scanner. This 11.52kg all-in-one boasts a sleek and matte frame with some glossy parts. The top lid is home to a 2-line, 16-character mono display screen alongside one-touch buttons for the scanner, copier, and fax, and a numeric keypad. The bottom part of the 1135n houses the 250-sheet paper tray and a single-sheet multi-purpose feeder.

Advantages

The compact, all-in-one Dell 1135N printer is reasonably easy to set-up and it is network-ready for small workgroups. Text and graphics output look good and clean, and print speeds are fast at up to 22ppm.
