Canon MultiPass L60 Toner Cartridges Printer Review
Expert review of the Canon MultiPass L60 printer 27 February 2014
A combined fax machine and printer, the Canon MultiPass L60 offers extensive fax features and basic laser printing capabilities. The MultiPass L60 is ideal for home offices in need of a reliable fax machine with good page memory, several speed dial locations, and efficient transmission speed, though it may be a poor choice as a dedicated printer. The Canon MultiPass L-60 laser printer has rather lackluster print quality and slow print speeds, putting it behind competing models.
The Canon MultiPass L60 printer takes up more space than expected, considering it is only a 2-in-one device. However, the Canon L60 MultiPass printer still has manageable dimensions and it can comfortably share a desktop with other office devices. The paper tray assumes a vertical position at the rear end of the unit, while the control panel occupies the front face of the device. The Canon MultiPass L60 mono laser printer has a small LCD screen for monitoring job status.
The main selling point of the Canon MultiPass L60 is its comprehensive fax feature set, with 90-page memory, 117 speed dial locations, delayed sending, and good enough transmission rate of up to 14.4 Kbps. However, at its price range, users can go for other more advanced units with Super G3 transmission. Its low running cost evens out the competition, as the MultiPass L60 is very economical to maintain with a single black Canon FX3 toner as the only consumable item.
Print quality is where the Canon MultiPass L60 printer really falls behind. While text quality is relatively good, graphics prints are a little lackluster. Print speeds are disappointing, averaging only 6 ppm.
